Call for Papers

The SJEAS publishes articles, research notes, and book reviews related to East Asia and is currently seeking original academic papers that delve into the past and present of East Asia, primarily within the field of the humanities. Research areas the SJEAS concentrates on include anthropology, archaeology, art, culture, history, literature, philosophy, and religion. Papers on the social sciences are also welcomed as long as topics and methodologies benefit and broaden perspectives on the humanities.

Sponsored by the AEAS, the SJEAS shares its academic interest in, and goal of, promoting interdisciplinary research related to the region of East Asia, accepting and publishing articles from within traditional academic boundaries, as well as works that explore the commonalities and contrasts found in East Asian countries and that take an interdisciplinary approach. All contributions are peer-reviewed and are subject to final approval for publication by the SJEAS editorial committee.
